National AI Olympiad 2026

Score calculation based on total points obtained on MLCompete (hereinafter referred to as Total):
Extract from Methodological Norms – Art. 19, para. (5)
(5) For the national phase of school olympiads in educational disciplines/modules/professional qualifications/professional training fields, where the county/Bucharest sector phase is organized in all counties and sectors of Bucharest, additional spots are allocated, funded by the Ministry of Education and Research, in descending order of scores obtained according to the national ranking made after the completion of this phase and the qualification of participants on the spots provided in para. (3), as follows:
- 43 spots per study year/study regime/discipline/module/professional qualification/professional field, for olympiads in mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology;
- 23 spots per study year/study regime/discipline/module/professional qualification/professional field, for all other school olympiads.

The wait was worth it! We obtained approval for additional spots at the national phase.
In accordance with Art. 19, para. (5) of the Methodological Norms on the organization and conduct of school olympiads and competitions (published in the Official Gazette of Romania, Part I, No. 1091 bis/26.XI.2025), with the approval of the Ministry of Education and Research, additional spots were granted beyond the initial 70 provided in the specific regulation:
Section IX–X: 1 additional spot (total: 71 spots)
Section XI–XII: 18 additional spots (total: 88 spots)
Total approved spots for the national phase: 159 (71 + 88), with MEC approval.
