Hall of Fame

Romania participated with two teams at the second edition of the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad, held in Beijing, achieving exceptional results. The national team won one gold medal, four silver medals, and three bronze medals, marking Romania's best performance at the international level in AI. The competition brought together over 300 participants from 63 countries. Romania's teams stood out through creative approaches to machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and reinforcement learning problems, impressing the international jury with innovative solutions and scientific rigor.

Romania's historic debut at the first edition of the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad, organized in Burgas under the patronage of the President of Bulgaria. Romania's two teams achieved remarkable results: bronze medals in the theoretical test and silver medals in the practical test for the second team. All eight members of the national team were awarded medals, marking a promising start in this international competition. The event was a milestone for AI education in Romania, demonstrating the maturity of the Romanian educational system and our students' readiness for future challenges. The competition included complex theoretical tests, practical programming challenges, and a creative GAITE component with generative AI.
