About the Olympiad

The Romanian National Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (ONIA) is an educational competition dedicated to high school students passionate about technology and innovation. Organized with the support of the Ministry of Education and Romania's leading technical universities, the olympiad offers young people the opportunity to develop their skills in one of the most dynamic fields of the 21st century.

ONIA takes place in three distinct stages - county, national, and national team selection - each representing a step in developing students' competencies. The tests combine theory with practice, evaluating not only theoretical knowledge but also the ability to implement real solutions using modern AI and machine learning tools.

Winning students have the unique opportunity to represent Romania at the International Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (IOAI), competing alongside the most talented young people from around the world and demonstrating the excellence of Romanian education in technology.
