The problems are the same for both sections at the national stage, so all students are evaluated uniformly based on the same test. For this reason, ranking is determined directly by the scores obtained at the national stage, without the need for a playoff to enter the national team.
National Team Composition (Art. 21)
According to Art. 21 (1), the national team consists of 30 competitors, as follows:
- The top three students from each section (9th–10th and 11th–12th grade)
- The remaining spots are filled in descending order of scores, regardless of section
In case of a tie at the last qualifying position, tiebreaking is done according to the criteria in Art. 15.
Preparation and Selection Stages
According to Art. 22 (1)–(3), students qualified for the national team participate in the preparation stage, where selection for international competitions takes place. The process is structured as follows:
Extended Team – UVT + UPT
May 21–25, 2026
This is where team selection takes place, based on tests conducted during the intensive preparation program.
Restricted Team – UVT + UPT
June 5–7, 2026
Only students already selected for teams participate, for final preparation before international competitions.
