Press Release: Official Platform Launch of National AI Olympiad

Press Release

The National Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (ONIA), launched in 2023 by the Romanian Computer Science Teachers' Union and the University of Bucharest, later expanded through the involvement of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, in partnership with the Ministry of Education and Research (featured in the official list of National Olympiads), now benefits from a modern platform dedicated to automated evaluation and preparation in artificial intelligence.

The new platform integrates advanced functionalities and supports the development of AI education in schools and high schools. The project was carried out by a team of young specialists, students and professors, with the aim of supporting students and teachers in the learning process and in achieving performance. Technical support is provided by Bitdefender, especially during the intense periods of the county and national stages of the competition.

The platform offers users interactive AI problems, designed to provide practical exercises and real challenges. The automated evaluation system checks solutions in real time and provides immediate feedback, thus facilitating rapid and efficient learning. The active community integrated into the platform allows users to ask questions, receive support from moderators and collaborate with other enthusiasts.

Current Features

  • Interactive AI problems with practical exercises and real challenges
  • Automated evaluation system with real-time feedback
  • Active community with moderators and collaboration opportunities
  • Clear progress monitoring and real-time notifications

Each user's progress is clearly monitored, and real-time notifications inform them about the status of solutions and the latest updates.

Future Features

  • Rankings for schools, high schools and universities
  • Additional competitions organized by ONIA and educational institutions
  • Personal scoring system, titles and distinctions
  • Verifiable professional profiles for employers and academic institutions

Users can join the platform in two ways: as participants, to test their knowledge and prepare for competitions; as contributors, by creating new problems and directly engaging in community development. The platform is free and accessible to all those interested in artificial intelligence, regardless of their level of experience.
